In the book of Acts, when Stephen was martyred and the growing church was persecuted and scattered, it “looked bad” for the cause of Christ. But as usual, appearances were deceiving and didn’t tell the whole story. In his sovereign wisdom, God had to get his people out of Jerusalem, their comfort zone, to get the Gospel to the world.
In the story of Zion Church, when things seemed to be going well in February 2020, Covid upended our plans. Was God in his sovereign wisdom “adjusting” our plans to come in line with his plans? We’ve made changes and will continue to find creative ways to minister in Jesus’ name. I wonder if God’s plan through this pandemic has been to move us out of our comfort zone to use us more effectively for the kingdom.
