April Pastor’s Message

In light of the six-foot-separation we’re supposed to practice, my son-in-law recently sent me a list of songs we may want to avoid during the Covid-19 pandemic:

  • Breathe on Me, Breath of God
  • Precious Lord, Take My Hand
  • Just a Closer Walk with Thee
  • Gather Us In
  • Close to Thee

But some others that could work well:

  • Wash, O God, Our Sons and Daughters
  • Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley
  • I Come to the Garden Alone
  • Trust and Obey

How ironic that the very thing that normally brings us comfort and encouragement – human touch – is now the very thing we need to avoid. The eternal Son of God wasn’t afraid to take on our human nature, to live in human skin, in order to feel what we feel, and to become the means by which we could know eternal life. He died; He rose; He lives!
