I discovered a term from the Praise Team that doesn’t make sense at first. The term is “dissonant harmonies.” The word “dissonant” describes the result when notes are played together that really don’t sound right together. “Harmonies” are notes that do sound right together. The only way “dissonant harmonies” sound right is when they are played with other notes in a series.
So many of life’s experiences are like “dissonant harmonies.” Things happen that don’t make sense. That seem unfair. It’s when we look back at those experiences in context that we can begin to see God’s purposes. Life isn’t always fair, but God is always good.
